Answers form a MA politics student in the University of Edinburgh. 1.What are your immediate thoughts about the fur product? Can you say a little more about why you think that? "To be honest, the first thing that came to mind is fake fur, it's because when I look at it, I just look at it as a material." 2.What words would you use to describe the traditional way of taking fur pelts from animals? "It's really gross and unfair to animals." 3.What do you see as the main benefits of my project which is replacing animal skin with pleather? To yourself? To others (e.g. fur clothing industry, franchiser, fur bearer)? "It actually conserves more animals and helps maintaining the fertility of land." 4.Do you see any risks or downsides to this project? To yourself? To others? "It may not completely replace the way that company kills animals for fur if there's a demand of real skin." Do you have any feelings about who should develop this idea? "As long as the person who comes with the solution is practical, creative and environmental friendly." If you were offered this product as a tester, what sort of information would you like to be given about it? "Where to visit the place of produce or to meet the person who produce it." What should the new technology fur product be called? "Forever" Do you have any ideas about ethical or religious objections about my project? "In terms of respect, I don't think there are any abuse of social ethics, in fact, it upholds it." Would you accept the product made with my method if you were offered it? What would other people feel? "Definitely yes, I think people may concern about the chemicals that used in the replacement and how were the fur be cleaned before it attaches with the fake leather."
